Town of Hluboka nad Vltavou
Welcome in Hluboká nad Vltavou, in the town famed mainly thanks to its Neo gothic chateau placed in a large English park. Hluboká with its nearly 5 thousand habitants has a great location – it lies approximately 10 km from České Budějovice, on both banks of the Vltava River. The town itself is enclosed with the picturesque South bohemian countryside with tens of ponds and rich forests with hunting castles (castle Obora) and farms (Vondrov), where is the romantic atmosphere underlined with horse riders or melancholic fishermen. Presently, Hluboká became, thanks to its festivals and exhibitions offer, also a cultural phenomenon, as well as a sports centre (horse riding, horse race, golf,..).
